Drivin' anywhere this weekend?

I'm not. I'm just gonna ride my bike down to the beach everyday. Just relax this weekend.

Headin' a couple hours down the highway to Charlotte for a hippie jam fest to spend a couple days playing in a garage, eating & drinking! I'll get to see my friends new house that he built too, he finally moved in last week.
Party on Garth!

Naw, I've been driving about 300 miles a day for work (I drive charter coach buses). Gonna play a few local gigs and relax!

Cheers, Tim

A bunch of us are jumpin' on the Harley's and going down by the river for a pig roast and blues feast on Sunday. Memorial Day we'll have the usual laid back cook out and recover from Sunday!

I won't be driving far. I have photos in the Sacramento County Fair, so I have to drive at least to there, but it's not very far. Less than 10 miles..

Yep, going to the cabin outside of Webster Wi. Peace, quiet and adult beverages; kids will fish all day evreyday and fill the freezer with big sunfish. We always have a sunfish fry on Sunday mornings.

Yeah, I have to admit that the Neil thing kind of gets old to me after a while, but I LOVE seeing Martin live in any of his various incarnations. I must have seen a million MZ and the Hardways shows back in the late '90s. I'm actually going to catch him with that band later this summer too - good to see that he's touring again.......

Yup, driving up to Lincoln, NE to see some relatives and visit my Dad's gravesite.

Just got approved for a new home equity loan to pay for the gas.

Got a local gig Friday night. Will probably drive to the beach (a couple hours one-way) one day this weekend.

No big travel plans though.

Doing a gig in Corby, Northamptonshire, Saturday night. About 200 miles round trip. Corby's where the UK Peavey factory's situated, by the way.

We might drive up to the Rist Canyon Festival. It's a fund raiser for the local Volunteer Fire Department. But other then that, maybe to band practice or to the store. If the weather's nice, I'll be on my bike.

It's actually my friend who's going to do the driving, but we're going to the annual meeting in the Historic Military Vehicles Association. This takes place in an abandoned military camp apr. 2 1/2 hours drive from where I live. Great fun and lots of MV's, especially from WWII.

Funny, I've forgotten how the Memorial Day Weekend used to begin the annual weekend Beach trips with the boys! Long weekends mostly spent intoxicated! Now it's hanging round local with the wife & kids doing short trips. Not as much fun but still a good thing.....
On a positive note, we have our first gig of the year with a new line up. We're opening for someone on Friday night at a local blues club. Safe travels everyone!!

I will be driving to Lake Wallenpaupack tomorrow to play at a wedding. I hate playing weddings but the lake is so beautiful it makes it bearable.

No. I'm gonna stay home until the Memorial Day fiasco is over. I don't want to get creamed by some bozo who's been driving for 18hrs straight. Plus, there's the road rage that will follow as people pull out from the pumps and realize they just got shafted big time! Funny how the gas prices skyrocket right before the busiest travel holiday. I'd never suspect price gouging for one second. I'm just gonna hang here and play my guitars.. maybe get into some of my new recording software.

Have a good weekend!

gigging in camden tonight
train to a pool party in kent tomorrow, staying over
driving to brighton to visit friends on sunday, staying over
barbeque back in kent on monday
then train back to london

about twice as hectic as i was hoping. personally the gig and party would have done me fine without all that extra faffing about but there you go... when you move in you don't just get a full time girlfriend you get all of her family her friends... and their loser boyfriends. grrrr.

OK - no gigs this weekend. I just returned from the grocery store (the cheap place is about 5 miles away, so I drive to it). There's the more expensive grocery store right across the street from where I live, so if I need a little something I can walk or bike. Other than taking my girlfriend back home on Sunday (about 30 miles away), I shouldn't have to even start my car for any reason. Let's hope....

Price gouging or not, you guys over there don't know you're born when it comes to gas prices. Try $7.50 or so a gallon as it is here - and diesel's slightly more again. That 200-mile round trip to the gig I mentioned earlier will cost over sixty bucks in fuel, fifty or more of which are tax. However, there are other advantages to living here, though I can't think of any right now ...

Have a great weekend yourselves!!

Oh man that's aweful!!! I'd be uhhh ...slightly po'd If gas was $7.50 a gallon here. I'm sure there would be anarchy! The worst I've heard was in Chicago and it's around $4.00 a gallon. It's about $3.20 here. But, $7.50 a gallon??? That's insane!!! I guess I have nothing to complain about now.

Hi, Al. Best of luck, mate - have you seen the weather forecast?

As well as the Corby gig tonight I'm depping on bass with my old band (Mary Rose) tomorrow at the Adam & Eve (better known as the Accident & Emergency) in Hayes. Four-foot bass in a three-foot space!
