THat was great she was just doing a satire on most rap videos. Showing how dumb they are.

It's all about the ghetto booty, money falling from the sky and cruising around in mexican pimped Chevy Impala's. That stuff is so inane it makes my head hurt!

I always thought she was cute in a funny looking sort of way. Or funny looking in a cute sort of way.

I heard this being discussed on the radio this morning; thanks ibobunot, for reminding me to watch it.
Alanis always seems like she has a heavy dose of "hurt" and edgyness. Kudos to her creativity, though.

"Jagged Little Pill" was one of my fave '90's albums. I dig Alanis, she's an original.

That's her. It's the second best hip-hop cover I've heard in a long time. Right behind Nina Gordon (late of Veruca Salt) covering "Straight Outta Compton."

so, so true... 10,000 spoons when all you need is a knife is not ironic, it's just unfortunate... no smoking sign on your cigarette break? not ironic, just crappy luck

oh dear oh dear

wasn't this done to death about 12 years ago?

the fact that it's not ironic IS in fact ironic in itself

therfore the song's own shaky grasp of the concept of irony is it's own saviour.

irony is restored

and we can all sleep safely in our beds

I like it...

she is one of a kind. I hope she continues to write and record as she grows older - looking forward to her views as she ages and matures.

About 45 seconds of the video "My Humps" was all I could handle. Now the Muppets "Brick House " was much better! She does have the "fingernails on the chalk board" sound. Never cared for her or her "music"

That's hilarious. The lyrics don't seem as completely inane in the original version as you can't really hear all of them. Now it's is exposed, the Black Eyed Peas are total cretins.

Find yourself a copy of String Cheese Incident covering "Gin and Juice," bluegrass style. Best. (Rap) Cover. Ever.

It's ironic that someone that writes a song called 'Isn't it ironic?' doesn't know the meaning of irony...Rain on your wedding day? Traffic jam when you're already late? That's unfortunate, not ironic.

Most of you won't know that 'jagged little pill' is about her 5th album. Before that, we knew for years as a teeny-bopper singer called just "Alanis"

Like the job on the video, though. This is how I've always seen hip-hop videos.

The cover of "Gin & Juice" was by The Gourds.
Then there's Ben Folds doing "B@#%*es Ain't S*#%" You hear every word & wish you hadn't.
