Reverend Goblin 'UK mode" question (also Vox question)
I love the sound of my Reverend Goblin in "UK Mode" on the Schizo switch, and the gain cranked. It's a perfect sound for a lot of the heavier stuff I play. It's got a nice edge, but has a nice smoothness to it as well. Anyway, is that sound a good representation of what a cranked Vox sounds like? I assume that is what it's trying to replicate....
Basically, I enjoy playing to entirely different types of music. I found my perfect sound for country, soul, surf etc. for me, and that is Tweed. But I always have a love for playing dirty Rock n' Roll with a Punk edge to it as well. The sound I am getting from the Rev is what I love for that, but I'd like to get that in a bigger, louder amp for live use as well.
As another option, are there any good pedals that can sort of approximate the sound (run into my Tweed Super)?
I know an amp like a Reverend Kingsnake combo would be a logical choice, but it's really tough to fine one around here.
