New addition to collection

Well, after I swore I'd never buy another guitar I picked up this one. A pretty nice Godin Acousticaster. Pretty nice sound. Will never match a mic'd Martin or Gibson acoustic, but it will do the job live.
If anyone is curious, the stone carving on the heater in the second picture is the god of GAS. I keep saying I'm going to put him on e-Bay, but he creeps me out and am afraid to do so. He might force me to go out and buy a Les Paul. Yikes!

Very nice. I've seen a few of those guitars, and always wanted one. Actually I saw one a couple days ago in a light brownish color. There is a shop here that specializes in Godins, they have a wild one called a "Radiator".

I think I may go for the LG series though, one of them has an acoustic plug-in option as well as a synth, and electric option. I like Godin , always hear good things about their products.
oh,... and nice amp too!
Congrats!

Godin is an interesting company. They claim they make more acoustics than any company in North America. I would think the acoustic sounds are pretty good across their line of guitars. I was looking for something to use when gigging since I really want to retire my '65 Hummingbird. It's been on one too many gigs and am afraid it will either get ripped off or really damaged one of these days. The Godin was a good compromise, I thought.

Oskar, just a question for the uneducated: (me)

Is that comparable to the Taylor T5 or the Crafter SA or is it a whole different animal?

I haven't played a Taylor, but I suspect that the Taylor is a very different type of guitar. Plus it costs more than twice of what you'll pay for the Acousticaster.
The Godin basically has the L.R. Baggs system (mine's a '92). The Taylor has a much more sophisticated set of pickups and its workmanship is probably better, although I found nothing wrong with this Godin. Not familiar with the Crafter at all.
