Thanks, Jimmy. And, yes I am a little cranky.
Lemme tell ya, Jimmy's a wonderful guy. And he has a beautiful family. And he can play. You know how you hear someone play and their personality just comes through? Jimmy's that kind of player. No matter what guitar he picked up, he had that sound. He also has a Strat that has the biggest, fattest neck I've ever seen/played. It should say Hillerich & Bradsby on it. And, I'm now hooked on Hipshot B-Bender's. Anyway, you won't meet a nicer, more down to earth guy than the Wicked GTR man. Thanks for the hospitality, Jimmy. Looking forward to doing it again real soon. Last edited by fezz parka; February 19th, 2007 at 02:21 PM.. |

HAHAHA
Fezz is a fellow member here at TDPRI. I'd love to have an L.A. jam session as well... only problem is I don't own a Dano or a Strat :( I could bring my Teles and Gibsons... and a ton of booze. Otherwise I suck at BBQ'ing or cooking. I am very limited in my usefullness aren't I?

No. He played first base for the Dodgers in the 60's.

Hey S!
'caster Oil, fezz is just another guitar player. His alter ego is a composer/producer/engineer who worked on about 100 soundtrack albums and 45 major films in addition to his tenure as Director of Music Creative at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. When he was a young feller, he was lucky enough to have a father who was a film composer. At this early age he had the chance to see some of the great session men and women of their day lay down tracks for his old man. The old man's favorite guitarist and close friend, was Howard Roberts, who schooled the young feller in the art of guitar playing. Another good friend was jazz guitarist Barney Kessel, who taught the young feller his first cowboy chords. That's who the blank fezz is. |

No sweat!
You gotta keep in mind that typing words on an internot forum is to real conversation what looking at Playboy centerfold pictures is to being in the same room as a beautiful woman. Flat, two-dimensional, and smells nothing like the real thing! Unlike real conversation, here on the internot no one can hear your tone of voice, your inflections, or see your facial expressions. What is meant to be funny, stripped of all those clues to intention, comes across in a pretty darned unfunny way. YOU write the words and hear them in your mind just the way you'd say them. WE read the words and have to try to imagine. Read them back to yourself in a bland monotone and you'll see what I mean! Cheers, Tim

I've never met Fezz in person. I have talked to him on the phone. He is a friend and an inspiration to me. AND he helped me with my Cameron song!!
Oh yes, one more thing.. he gave me this.

LOL... I'm nobody...
...jammed once in the 70's w/Jerry... ...was in Paul Mehling's first real band in HS ("Evenin's Breeze...") ...worked for David Lee Roth for a while... ...went to a party at Neil Young's house a long time ago... ...sort of know Paul McCartney... ...had Paul Kantner spill a drink on me... at a Tngerine Dream concert... ...Prince cussed me out one time... ...Sammy Hagar once told me in NYC that I had a "nice bass." It was a Guild.
