Can you identify this?

I've had this blowlamp for ages, and despite searching the net, have drawn a complete blank about its history.

So it's time to get serious! I've come to the one place where someone will be able to fill in the gaps!

Attachment 1494

The label says "Unique mfg. co., inc - Chicago USA"

The only thing that I could find that could relate to it would be International Lamp Corporation - Chicago. I couldn't find any history of the brand "Unique" or the company itself. Good luck.

I am pretty certain about this, it looks like a blow torch that firefighters use when they are starting controlled burn fires.

Brilliant, thanks. I searched eBay, but I guess it only looked in the UK.

You could try contacting someone at this company to see if they used to be located in Chicago

http://www.uniquetool.net/

A lot of manufacturers leave the Chicago area for a good reason.
