No, just an idiot wasting everybody's time. Read his Q&A at the bottom.

Wow. The spirit of jimi Hendrix visited him and played the guitar through him... Sounds entirely sensible, sane and plausible to me. NOT.

Geez, this guy must have some sense of humor! I searched his feedback and found that he paid $149.99 for it. I can only hope that Jimi comes and plays through me so I can sell one of my guitars for so much!

There is an insertion fee based on the opening acceptable bid.

I sold a real Les Paul Firebrand once and the opening bid was set at $550. I think that it cost about $7.00 to place the ad and then you pay an extra percentage based on the full selling price. If the item doesn't sell, you don't pay the second fee.

This comedian may get a $150 charge against his checking account for listing an item with an opening bid of $333,000.00. The insertion fee is listed at the bottom when you compose the ad. When you click to actually post, you get billed.

I've seen tons of ebay ads where someone posts a photo of their friend and titles it "Dingbat for sale" or something funny but they usually set the starting bid at $10.00 so that the joke only costs them 50 cents.

This guy's gonna get a big bill for this.

Think about what the Ebay fees would be if someone hit the buy it now

Someone over here sold a spoof item on a Buy It Now & ebay wanted their fees based on the sale price of £1,000,000

Too funny. Love the questions below.

If he had asked $ 1500.00 he may have got away with it. That would have been a nice profit for that greedy scammer..... and would have fooled someone possibly. Someone may have thought it was special , rare , etc.
I've never heard of that brand name.

I just sent him the following question
Quote:
Is that the guitar you won in August for US $149.99? at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...2509%26fvi%3D1
Do you think he'll respond? Maybe he'll respond on the auction page.
Do you think his mother now believes in retroactive contraception?

His wife told him "You have to get rid of one guitar before you can get another". Now he can say "There honey, it's been on ebay a week and still no bids... Oh well I tried". It's an old trick, but it still works (sometimes).

I'm not an EBay expert, but it looks like he will only be charged the $4.80 max insertion fee.

I bet that is it!!! I've never thought of that one, but I bet that is what happened. Same with the crate amp. And if someone crazy & hugely wealthy decides to buy it, they have a story to make themselves famous as well as rich!!!

What's the matter with me... how come I never think of stuff like this?!

Though slightly used this Masterpiece is in excellent condition. Item will not be shipped until payment has cleared. Certified Bank Check only. A return receipt will also need to be signed if this guitar is not picked up in person with valid identification. Insurance will be an additional responsibility to the purchaser if shipping item. Of all Electric Guitars ever built, I believe this one Honor's Mr. Les Paul in the most esteeming manners. This guitar is being sold "As is" and is in excellent condition.

"Honor's"..."M"asterpiece..."E"lectric "G"uitars...

Not a very good mastery of the language.

I wonder if he will take a "Certified Bank Check" issued by the head teller at the First Bank of Lagos, Nigeria..
