Tunomatic bridge replacement
I've never fooled with Gibson style bridges before, so I need some help if I may ask.
I've gotten my grubby hands on some old gold LP parts, and I want to convert a modern tunomatic bridge to this older one I have here. The mounting posts on the modern one are probably about twice as thick as the older bridges'. I dont have the old posts, so I guess I need "Conversion" posts, if they exist... Should I consider pulling the old ones, and replacing them with smaller, or...? Any advice or resouces would be greatly appreciated!!

Sounds like the new design might be better than the old one. I'd keep the modern bridge. If you want to upgrade, TonePros has a great reputation for bridges & hardware. Word is that Epi users tend to do that, upgrade their hardware to TonePros. It gives them better hardware than Epi or Gibson.
