Today was my 40th birthday!
I told my wife and step-daughter that I didn't want anything, and they didn't disappoint me!!
Didn't celebrate much. I was hoping that my Maple Tele body or my re-wired strat PG would have showed up today (birthday presents to myself) but no. Looks like I'll have to keep an eye out for the mail man tomorrow

Happy Birthday..
You are as young as you feel. And playing a Tele keeps you young looking. Just look at Keith Richards--no wait. How about Merle--no again. Look at Nancy Heart--wait, she looks great, but hardly ever plays a Tele. Never mind.

Happy Birthday
Happy B-Day you young whipper-snapper. Keep on having them. You share a birthday with singer Mary J. Blige, golfer Ben Crenshaw and Echo Leta Johnson Austin TX, Playboy playmate (Jan, 1993).

Don't Worry Man-
If 40 is the new 30, then heck! I'm young again! Happy B-Day and welcome to middle age!

Happy Birthday, Kyle and Kenny, my fellow 01/11 birthday brothers.
Kyle, you're exactly one year older than me. Or, if you want, you can say that you're 21 with 19 years of experience. Kenny, your vehicle might be 57, but your soul is timeless, bro.' I hope you guys have had the happiest birthday yet, and that you have lots more that are even better. Joel |

Party hats for all! Best wishes to you guys. You're in good company... the lead vocalist for one of my bands hit 21 (eek!) on the 10th, and my Mrs. turns 40 (Lordy!) today (12th).
Forty is a great age to turn, it really is. Not really sure why a number constitutes any sort of "revelation", but nonetheless, I've seen this one mark the point of finally beginning to trust one's own experience and perspective, for many. I know that it seemed to coincide with the general time frame at which I began to become comfortable within my own skin. Enough philosophical rambling... woohoo, enjoy!

Nothing makes me happier than wishing someone happy birthday or taking them to lunch or getting them a little something! If someone ever wants to do something nice for you.. Let'em! happy birthday all of you! The day after my birthday I always do a little 'self talk' and the message is consistent. This is your one life! Do things you find meaningful and find happiness even in the challenges! Do things because they are right things and stand for things you are proud of.... if you do those things you'll have some comfort when times are hard.
I'm so glad you are on the planet!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kyle - You're officially over the hill. Not Really!
I was traumatized when I hit 30 and thought I was old. The nice thing about 40 is not having peer pressure or a care in the world for how you dress in public. It's the "I don't give a damn decade" so enjoy it! Just don't go to Wal Mart wearing tall white tube socks with dress shoes and shorts. YIKES! I think that happens at 60 anyway so there's still time... Congrats! Allan |

Thanks guys!!!
Thank you all for the well wishes and bits of advice. I look thirty and act(so I've been told) 15. So I don't see a mid-life crisis anywhere in my future.
I got my b-day present from myself on friday. The UPS guy dropped off two more Tele bodies. One Maple the other Poplar. I'm thinking of going with GFS Lil Punchers in the Poplar and Bill Lawrence Keystones in the Maple. But of course next week at this time I could have something completely different in mind
