B**dy guitarshop ... :-)

I'm havin' a couple of days of work (long weekend) to sort some paperwork out ... In between the boring bits I decided to pop in at my favourite dealer for a look & a chat ... now I regret it ...

Should I, or shouldn't I ...

By far the "snappiest" guitar I've played, and looks killer ! IMO ...

So, it seems that 2007 starts in the same way as 2006 did... ie. The money I've tried to save up for an apartment is blown on guitars

I'll probably go back tomorrow, and if they haven't sold it I'll "save them the trouble" ...

My newyears resolution for 2008's gonna be : STAY AWAY FROM GUITARSHOPS !

/J

Maybe You should've given me some advice after all

I ended up buying it .... So, now You can all call me an idiot (with my permission) for surrendering to the "relic hype"

Snappier than the snappiest snapper out there ! A bit pricey, but it's only money ...

Nice thinline...

I went to Norway on holiday last year and can imagine how expensive US Fenders are there - the same as an apartment?

No name calling, I would have done the same thing. She's a beauty, count your blessings and enjoy. No regrets.... it's exausting and takes away from the time you should spend playing it! Congrats!

If you are going to be an idiot, you may as well be one with a guitar you like.

In my humble...

...relics don't look killer, they look killed. Can't you get an unblem and let time and aquavit do the damage for you? Just seems more honest and fun, somehow...

True ! But I'd have bought it even if it had been a NOS ... Ie. I bought it because it's SOOOO much fun to play ... And, the NOS version would probably have been a lot cheaper too ...

About the 'let time do the relicing' :

I've had this Les Paul copy since 1990, and it's got its share of dings & scratches, but it's far from what could be called reliced ... It's just ... well ... dinged & scratched ...

So, new(er) guitars don't seem to "relic" ... ?

And since I' born in 1971, I'm a bit too young to have owned an original thinline for long enough ...

+ I suspect that the aquavit would relic me more than the guitar ! he he ...
