My Old Strats

Thought some of you might like a look at my 55 and 61 strats. Enjoy.

Very nice...it's nice seeing aged clean instruments. What some folks do to their guitars is criminal!

Thanks, Sarge...yep I resisted the temptation to put Floyd-Rose whammy bars and scalloped fingerboards on them!

Stuco, I got these in the early 90s. I had my tech do a beautiful refret job on the 61 soon after I got it. I've never regretted it. I think the "it's not original if it's been refretted" dogma is for under the bed collectors and non-playing investors. If a car needs new tyres you change them. He replaced the nut at the same time. Otherwise, everything is there as it left the factory. The 55 also has medium replacement frets that were on it when I got it, plus a 5 way switch, otherwise factory original.
