What is SRV's "Slide out the door..."
Many years ago, I was taping stuff off the radio and caught the tail end of an SRV tune, with the lyrics, "slide out the door, come back for more." Or something along those lines. Does anyone know the name of this song? I'd feel like a moron if it was Slide Out the Door.

I do believe you're referring to "Change It" from the Soul to Soul LP. 'Twas the song that sent me to the record store for my first SRV album back in the day.

"Change It" would be correct. Great song. Real hard to get the feeling right when playing it though.

Did anyone else notice that at 1:50 into that video, during Stevie's solo, he adjusts the volume and tone knobs....and the guitar is not plugged in??? Lord knows I'm not picking on Stevie. He's the reason I began playing guitar in the first place. I'd bet that there was a jam-box of sorts there on the video set, where he's playing the solo on the mountain cliff. And Stevie is "lip-syncing" (hand-syncing?) with the music....and it was just done out of habit. He probably did crank the volume/tone in that same spot, in the recording studio, therefor it just felt natural to him to do it during the video shoot too.
