A musician dies and amazingly enough, goes to heaven. St. Peter looks at his bio listens to his tracks and puts him in with Heaven's All Stars, the best jazz musicians of all time. There's Duke and Miles and Sachmo and Charlie Christian and Mingus and Monk... The guy can't believe it. So he sets up on the bandstand with all the greats and no one plays a note. Finally he asks what's up and someone leans over and says, "Well, God's got a girlfriend. And she sings..."

Ben, thanks a lot, pal. I've wasted way too much time reading those stories from the studio. Funny stuff.
My own contribution: We were in a session and I had changed guitars and put the headphones on and couldn't hear my guitar -- the speaker cab was in another room. I said I couldn't hear my guitar and the engineer said, try plugging it in.
D'oh!
