Hopes And Dreams For 2007.....

Not the usual Resolutions, but what you plan to work on...

Guitars: I think I have all the basses coverd here thanks to
CB's wonderful Gibson ES-135 I recieved for Christmas. I may
look at that LP BFG to see if it inspires me though....

Amps: Always room for more jello! Maybe a bigger VOX amp
(once I pack up the VOX AD30VT for Tufty)? Maybe a BUDDA,
don't know! The BASSMAN really satisfies my tastes in amps,
so it would be hard to beat! Of course, if there's another
Fender or Fender clone that CB has, I'll probally buy that too! LOL!

Recording: I'm hoping I get the momentum going on recording again!
Rewriting a few of my tunes, write some new ones, and record them
to CD is the plan. I hope to upgrade my Boss-BR-8 with something
better this year too! Also, get a tape off to CORE as soon as I can......

Band: I'd also like to record my band and maybe work in some originals.
Let the band help me record my stuff too. Maybe even do a REAL gig
this year would be nice!

Computers: Hope to upgrade to a machine using something other than
Windows 98 SE. Something that can do music audio editing....

Travel/Vacation: After 5.5 years of no vacations, maybe this year I
can take some time off of work and do something fun. A road trip
would be nice...or go somewhere I haven't been before....visit
friends more often.....Allah willing.....

Work: Hopefully, we'll move out of this dingy warehouse into something
more modern and bigger before the end of Spring! There is talk of me
getting a raise soon, so I hope that happens too!

Personal: Hopefully, this will be the year my brothers and I will settle
my Father's estate and I can go buy a nice, modern, roomy home.

It's been my life's dream to own a home with plenty of room for a
studio and a guest suite for guests to stay in comfort. Move
somewhere more inviting for guests to visit and closer to the
new warehouse when that happens. Up near the Chincoteague/
Assateague area is nice (but not on the Island) and closer to
Ocean City, MD and shopping too.

I swear I'm gonna TRY to quit smoking too. It's expensive AND bad for you!
Also, I'd like to lose about 25 to 30 lbs. Also, I'd like to try SOMETHING
that will help me get rid of these nasty anti-depressants!

1: To find a band that I gel with and can get gigs with

2: To get into University

3: To buy a Laptop for University (assuming I get in)

4: To buy an all Valve amp

5: To get a girlfriend I can have a meaningful relationship with, I'm sick of dead end relationships and of being single!

6: To become a much better guitarist, my playing ability is good in some areas but poor to abysmal in others.

J-Man, change the order:

1 - join the band: you'll then automatically achieve #6.

3 - being an ace guitarist, you will then have the pick of the girls, so will achieve #5 and won't need #4 a valve amp, because it's all in the hands...

And you'll be so busy playing guitar and having a girlfriend, that university & laptops won't be an option!

Thanks for that, made me laugh.

Yeah being in a band would help my playing a lot, I suffer from a massive lack of motivation towards most things, even things I enjoy, I need something like a band with deadlines for learning songs to force me to be motivated.

NYE

I have a few resolutions, but from a musical standpoint--

--Get some original material recorded.
--Get more corporate and private party gigs for my cover band.
--Get my church band out of the church and into other places we can do some good.
