Electric guitar exhibition

There was a bit on the news tonight about an electric guitar exhibition at the National Museum in Dublin. A few hundred of 'em including Rickenbacker's original 'frying pan' and some that Hendrix, Rory Gallagher, Marc Bolan, etc played.

Guess where I'm going next week?

It's running until some time in January - so I'll be checking it out myself. Rory had some fascinating guitars ( other than his iconic Strat ) so it should be well worth a visit for them alone.

This coming Thursday is the only day I'll have free to go until January (every weekend 'til January is booked solid for gigs and I do a schoolbus run thru the week...but there's a parent/teacher day on Thursday.)

If anyone wants to meet me on Thursday that would be cool. I want to see the exhibition and maybe check out a few music stores.

Just got back from a few days In Cork. Yes, an Irish TDPRI jam would be cool. Probably would have to be next summer, though (for me).
