Ruth Brown passed away today

Howell Begle, founder of the Rhythm & Blues Foundation, has just made
an official announcement about his friend R&B/jazz vocalist Ruth Brown.

The great Ruth Brown, born in Virginia in 1928, passed away today at 5:14

I'm very sorry to hear that.
I've always enjoyed her music.
My sympathy goes out to her family....friends....and to all her fans.
It's our loss too!

She will be missed. Ruth was one of the few who could give Wanda Jackson a run for her money. Her guest appearance with Guitar Johnny and the Rhythm Rockers on "As Long as I'm Moving" remains one of my all-time favorite moments.
