Calling All Hudson Valley TDPRI Members !

I've noticed there are quite a few members from the Hudson Valley area and welcome everyones input concerning a TDPRI outdoor get-together/ informal jam / flea market /swap meet / bar-b-que in the Spring. We seem to have a good number of members from Westchester, Putnam, Orange, Rockland, Sullivan, Fairfield,CT and Pike, PA. counties and surrounding areas on the boards and I thought it might be a good idea to begin planning for an event in the Spring at a centralized location for all. Those in the Hudson Valley area, and surrounding areas, please feel free to PM me or e mail me and maybe we can put something together. I'll be willing to put whatever time I have available into the planning and I hope others might step in to help with the planning and logistics. Never too early to begin planning !
Regards, Gary

If you need some help let me know! I'm always up for something like this and get paid to manage projects.

I'm home on weekends from Maine and would love to get together with people from the old neighborhoods!

I'm sure many will be interested. Do you have a place in mind to hold it?

Gary,
I'm in New Windsor and have yet to make it to Mike Rice's jam's. I bet he'd appreciate a break from hosting if arrangements were made to have it elsewhere in the HV. Keep us informed.....

Hi all ! I'm going to get in touch with Mike and get his input and suggestions so that dates/location don't overlap - as for location, it's all up in the air until we see where the most interest is and try to centrally locate it from that point - Newburgh/Middletown area is attractive due to it's ease and proximity of the Thruway and I-84 - possibly even a Dutchess or Sullivan County location - my tenative thoughts were maybe of a 2 day weekend affair where we could hold it at a hotel which could of course provide a large indoor venue without weather worries, access to food and discounted lodging for those interested in making a "week-end" out it. I think if enough were interested, we could probably swing a deal somewhere at a relatively low cost. I'm also checking out some unused hangar space at Stewart Airport which might be neat. Then again, there's always my backyard :).
I'll keep everyone who's interested "in the loop" .

Hey Beach,

I'm up for a visit home. With a little luck will be there.

Gary, I think that you'll probably find that there's not enough interest to make it worth much of a financial investment unless there's a really unique reason for us to do it. Hotels sound very expensive, but being a pilot, hangars sound cool :)
