Finally Summer Is Over....

well, summer's officially over and the beaches are open to dogs again, best time of year around here if you ask me.

Surf's up! Hurricane Helene passed by way offshore yesterday as it heads for Ireland.

I'll second that! I don't have a dog, but you'll notice in this picture that the hoards of tourists and all their children have all gone home, peace be upon them.

I drove through a little snow near Loveland Pass Saturday on a way to a gig in Eagle, CO. The mountains looked beautiful with frosted evergreens and turning aspens. The roads were a little wet with icy patches, but we had no problems. I could easily live in Summit or Eagle Counties!
I hope we get some a lot of snow this winter.

Summer is coming!!!
All I can say at this point is I ain't looking forward to it! Alot of parts of Australia (including where I am) have been in drought for around 10 years. Water restrictions (no washing cars, watering lawns/gardens, 3 minute showers) and this is in Winter!
News tonight said we're heading for the hottest and driest Summer in 10 years.
Spring is only 3 weeks old and yet we've had more rain in Spring than we did all Winter (about 3 days worth total)
It's not fun at all!
