Sunday, its official

I will be middle aged: I'm turning 45.

I told someone the other day that I cant deny it any longer, I'm middle aged. Any older, and I'll just be , .....old. They said, "OH, your still a young man! Your not middle-aged!" To that I replied, Really? How many 90 +, and 100 year olds do you know? Didnt have a come back............

So its all downhill from here! YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE-HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW!

Well, at least I'm still young at heart, I just have a few gray hairs to go with it!

45 is middle aged? what? are you planning to live to 90? I think 37 is middle aged for a white male in the western world....

Well my wife is a healthy little woman, and I just know she is gonna make it into her nineties, and I also know there is no way she is going to let me get a repreave from her abuses, so dying is out of the question.

But yeah, I beleive exact middle age is about 37 to 40 years of age. 45 on the high end. Everything after that, its a death watch............ Uh, I apologize to all you old farts out there that took offense too that.

You and I have more in common than I originally realized. I turn 48 on Sept 25th (happens to be exactly 9 months to the day after Christmas, if you catch my drift). There are a LOT of late September birthdays. I must say, that nearly all of them that I have met are really nice folks too.

Happy B-day!!

happy birthday

you young whippersnapper. Welcome to the flock of geezerdom.

Have you:

discovered the volume knob turns to the left?

run through the dial of your radio presets and discovered everything is oldies, talk radio or ccm?

discovered there is only 1 half of 1 thing on the list of things you said you would never say to your kids left to say before it is completely empty?

realized that there are 3 years left until you've been out of high school for 30 years?

recognized how smart your parents/aunts/uncles/grandparents were?

realized that life not only begins at 40 but the best is yet to come?

Have a great time enjoying these "golden" years!!1

Your brother

Peter

Feliz Cumpleanos. I got ya beat by five years. Just remember, you're not old as long as you're still childish. When I was in my thirties, my high school-aged cousin told me that he had always liked me because I was an adult but I didn't act like one. That's the spirit!

Age means nothing (unless you are trying to get a rock deal on a major label). I'm 55 and I am playing better than ever, with more passion and more intensity than ever before. Things are coming together musically like never before and its a great trip. Never ever let age be a consideration. Live life with your deepest passions and if anybody tries to tell you to "act your age", realize its not you who has the hang up on a number. Enjoy your life. Splurge on your ideas and musical energy. 45 is just the beginning of a wonderful and meaningful time in life.

Most of all, NEVER use age as a crutch to justify lower standards. The peak of your life "officially" starts today. Happy birthday!

SO I went to church and played, and it was one of those days where I was just on. It was great.

Then I get home, and my family scrimped together and got me a 100 dollar GC gift card (monies tight at the PraiseCaster household, so I know they really scrimped!).

But I was slightly bummed: the Carvin GT12 speaker in my newly supersized Pignose G40V, had way too much break up, and it was flabby, and sloppy sounding. Major bummage. But I remembered that I have an EV12, but my youngest son has been using it, but I reminded him it is mine, so we took it out of his cab, and into my G40V. That is the exact speaker I was looking for! Hard to get it to break up, so I can get overdriven clean tones. When I kick my TS808 on, its pure magic! I love this speaker. I guess I ignored it, cause I thought it was a triple rectifier speaker. Obviously I was mistaken!

The big plus is, my son loves the Carvin GT12. So everyone is happy!
