Great Rory Gallagher Video *Youtube*

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wzLNap6mJlk

Rory Gallagher playing "Calling Card", I always love it when I stumble across some Rory footage I haven't seen before, the audio is a little quiet so you might want to crank your speakers.

I wish I'd been around to see him live..

Anyone else a big Rory fan?

Yes! Thank you!

I heard him the first time in 1969 and
he's one of my favorite guitarists ever!

Big fan here too. Check out the 'Rockpalast' DVD if you haven't seen it yet. If that were an album, that would be my favorite of his.

I played one of the Fender Rory Custom Strats. One of the best Strats I have ever played. Would have bought it on the spot if I could have afforded it.

Wow, I thought I'd posted to this thread yesterday....

Anyhoo, Rory is a HUGE influence. If I truly hero-worshipped a guitarist, it would be him.

There's a ton of Rory stuff on YouTube, thank God. Of interest to me is the later shows with his last band, just out of curiousity.

Also, I must mention the bass work of Gerry McAvoy. He was like an extension of Rory himself. I would LOVE to work with Gerry and Brendan O'Neill for a rhythm section!
