It seems like a good value compared to other guitars in the vintage market. It looks like it needs a complete refret, though.

Maybe, but if you think about it, it's always ready to play, has TWO f holes, nice round knobs, lots of curves, it's wearing a G string, and if you don't feel like looking at it you can put it in a box in the closet- and it won't take your house away...

I pulled the trigger on a 66 BKC about 8 years ago on the bay, and it's by far one of my faves. I would say don't buy that one, because one of the great joys on planet earth is a good set of early 60's Gibson frets! The BK's too watch for are 65's- still have the wide neck, but have the neck joint at the 18th fret- way less heel.

Saw Duke Robllard with one of those about ten years ago or so. It did sound great in his hands! I think his didn't have the bigsby, though.
