Building a jazzbox...update!!

Hey all...

Now the neck is finally glued on and I'm making the headstock decal.

(If you want to see how I got this far see this thread http://www.tdpri.com/forum/bad-dog-c...t-jazzbox.html )

Since I want to use my lovely wife's name how do you think this would look?

And what a wife, she has been supporting this project from the start, even though I have a LOT of guitars and only play as a hobby. So naming a beautiful guitar after my beautiful wife is only appropriate, don't ya think?

Anyway, looking forward to your opinions.

Lookin' AMAZING!

I missed the first thread, so I'm going back to read it now, but from what I can see, you're doing an absolutely fantastic job!

That's awesome! And the decal is a beautiful tribute to your wife, I hope she appreciates it as much as you appreciate her.

Very nice indeed! Some day I'll build a jazz box. I'm just finishing up a Ric-type guitar right now and will take a break from building for a while.

What type of finish are you planning? Pickup?

I'm thinking clear lacquer, very thin layer.

And no pickup just yet, maybe I'll keep it acoustic. But if I put a pickup on it will be this:

And yes, I'm still in thehoneymoon phase and proud of it...

Next time you finish something with F holes, you can try blowing up a few ballons inside the body to keep the over spray out.
