Jonathon McEuen's Brand New Opry

I just picked up a DVD titled "The Brand New Opry" featuring Jonathon McEuen. The DVD is shot in high definition, mixed in surround sound, and sounds fantastic! The surround sound mix puts you right in the middle of their jam circle! The disc also features a guest appearance by John McEuen (Jonathon's dad of Nitty Gritty Dirt Band fame) and has a line up of wonderful musicians. Jonathon is an up and coming star worth paying attention to! The disc can be found here:

Your welcome. I think you'll like it. I think Jonathon is on his way to major stardom. This DVD is typical jam circle where nobody stands out as an individual, yet each musician gets a chance to shine.

I know the man who owns this company. He's been a friend of mine for a number of years. They specialize in these high end DVD's, which are all recorded and mixed in surround sound. No reverb, compression or EQ is used and the performances are all completely live. Its a very cool experience to hear and see musicians in this context. No studio trickery, other than beautiful and natural sounding recordings done by expert audiophile engineers. A real treat if you have a good surround system and hi-def screen!

Jonathan McKuen is very good. I agree that his stock is rising fast in the world. Great music!

BTW, I am not affiliated with aix in any way, but I do think their products are amazing and something all afficianado's of music would value and appreciate. Thus, I'm giving them a nod.
