Back at the Jersey Shore!!

Today was really a great day! I woke up late and made my own breakfast. Played a few of my guitars through the Super Reverb. Went for a nice jog and then a bike ride to the Shore. Went for a short dip in the water that's just the right temp for cooling off. The air temps are as perfect as can be.
I really got tired of the furnace-like temps down there in Texas. WHEW!!

been thinking about moving to Austin,

but days like today make it a real struggle! Today was, indeed, a perfect day at the Jersey shore.

Which shore town are you referring to? My wife spent summers on LBI.

I have spent many a year at LBI... I don't miss the Jersey shore anymore... I think I'm too old for it... *shrug* I think I prefer tree lined midwestern lakes now...

We usually...

...do a week down there every year. Love the Jersey shore. We did a few days at Sea Isle City last week and it was great. The kids loved it! Hope to do it for the full week again next year.....

Did pretty much the same thing today but there was a smokin' babe in a bikini down there! Red bikini and she strutted up and down the beach as I was taking a dip with my snorkel goggles.

Just got back from a week in Avalon. Excellent weather this time. The kids have a lot of friends down there so they spent their time hanging out and surfing. I took them fishing & wake boarding and I got to take my wife out for a couple of very nice dinners and wlaks along the beach.

What a great week.

And just as I read this, my friend's car pulls into my driveway to whisk me off to LBI for the day.

Back in the early-mid 70's, I used to live in Long Branch, N.J.
I lived on 2nd Ave., about 50 yards south of the Ink Well. I used to practically LIVE in the Laugh-In Saloon & Brighton Bar! It was sooo nice to be able to crawl home at 2am, in about 5-10 minutes! Saw concerts at Monmouth College, Stoned Pony, Capital Theatre (Passaic), & other local dives.
Got my first motorcycle; 1969 BSA Lightning 650. And married a brunette from Monmouth College, with more than 10 brain cells (a rarity back then). All-in-all, I had a great time living there! Moved in 1975 to attend Univ. of Maryland. Still miss the old hole! Steve

I hear this term used occasionally. Where exactly is the "Jersey Shore"? Is that like Atlantic City? Please cut me some slack here, only places I've been in Jersey are Newark, and the Holmdel area and that across the river from Philly.

I think the Jersey Shore is all the way from Sandy Hook Park south.

...I've got a Jersey girl...

...and over the 4th of july holidaze we attended a family gathering at a small town south of Asbury Park, and I've forgotten the name of the town,sorry...the weather held up for the party (thundershowers threatened)...later,we encountered one of the hairiest lightning and thundershowers I've ever seen!!!...where we were staying in Collingswood, apparently the water was knee high rushing down the street...missed that part of it,as we were driving as the storm raged around us...sheesh...
