You're Not From Around Here, Are Ya?
When and where did you grow up/graduate?
The thread about Kennedy got me thinking...... I'm originally from Dallas and was in school the day Kennedy was assassinated. So my question is "where ya from and what high school did ya graduate from (for those in large cities) and when type thingy...... PB [edit] A poll really doesn't work like this so I changed this to a post without a poll.[/edit] Last edited by TDPRI; July 31st, 2006 at 11:25 AM. |

1. Trenton, NJ
2. Hamilton High East 3. 1973 4. I'm actually living in my family's "ancestral" home, just outside of Trenton. It's an old farm house, built in the late 1700s, and my folks have lived here since the 1920s.

Hey Woodman
I lived in Charlotte in 1967-1969 and went to South Mecklenberg Junior High, a fresh product from Sharon Elementary. I would have gone to South Mecklenberg, but me Dad got transferred to.........IOWA!
Culture Shock supreme, but actually a pretty cool place back in the late 60's/early 70's. But I digress...

From Cromwell, CT and went to the public schools. It was an isolated small town in the center of the state between Hartford and New Haven. I left the day after I graduated from high school in 1993. I guess you could say I couldn't wait to get out.

i too was a South Mecklenburg Sabre. i was there the first year it opened, 1959, and graduated from there in 1963. when i first went there, it was cow pastures and cornfields. now it's all upscale housing and strip malls -- sheesh!

1. Marionville, MO (tiny town in the SW of the state)
2. Marionville High School (if everybody in town went there, it would still be a small school) 3. Graduated '95 4. Went to college in Northern MO now in St. Louis for about 6 years. It's funny because the big question everyone in STL always asks you is what high school you went to. The public schools here suck so bad that almost noone uses them. So basically everyone associates a person with whatever parochial school they went to. It's as common as asking what you do for a living.
