Should have been gone a few weeks ago. Ace should have been kicked for trying to tell Brian May how to arrange his song.

I hear he and his twin (Rocky) are in trouble with the law anyway. Now he'll have time to do time.

Rocky and Bucky's trouble with the law was a few years ago, and they've already been acquitted.

WAIT!!!! Rocky and Bucky??? surely these are nicknames???

my feeling is the other two in the bottom need to go also....man they must've had some bad singers to choose from if these guys made it this far.

Bucky's been a "one trick pony" throughout the course of the competition, so he is lucky that he lasted this long.

The whole Queen tribute show.. much like the Stevie Wonder tribute show was a disaster... (Any guesses at how the Rod Stewart tribute show will go?)

Bucky was awful, but not nearly as awful as Ace... I bet Freddie was turning over in his grave Tuesday..

So many great Queen songs.. and so many duds were chosen... I was deeply disappointed.

Oh well...

I'm not a fan of Ace, but he's got a better voice than Bucky and, well, he shore is pretty. Just ask my 3-year-old daughter.

So far, the best guest artist has been Barry Manilow. He truly coached the singers and gave them valuable advice. [Rogers was a distant second.] Among other things, he stressed the fact that it's not about hitting a bunch of notes, it's about selling the emotion and the story of the song, a point that both the contestants and the judges generally seem clueless about. He also Manilow-ed all their arrangements, which was both good and bad. I kept pointing out to my wife how he inserted those trademark Manilow modulations into each tune.

FINALLY, thats what i have to say. Bucky, while he may be a good guy, is definitely not a good singer. The talent is really sparse this year, which is really unfortunate. I don't know if the judges and producers were looking for a different sound or look or what, but they really don't have the best vocalists singing. Mandisa was really good, but she got booted last week. I think Ace, and Chris should go soon. Personally, I think Taylor is the best, vocals and performance. Elliot also has a good voice, but he really doesn't have the look of an american idol.

I like Taylor, every week he does his thing, even with those full body spasms :)

Eww... he gives me the creeps. His voice is so-so and his contrived soul man schtick is... Did I mention that he gives me the creeps?

He did give quite the performance the other night. It would've been okay if his dances moves weren't so embarrassing. They remind me of Elaine's Christmas party herk 'n' jerk on "Seinfeld." His failure failure to kick over the mike stand didn't help, either.

YOU GUYS JUST SCARED THE DAYLIGHTS OUT OF ME!!!!!!

I don't watch a lot of TV & I'm not really "up" on these things.....so when I read "Bucky's gone", I thought Bucky Pizzarelli had passed away.

Ok.....my heart rate has come back to normal...I think....

I learned my lesson and didn't log on.. only to have my efforts thwarted by the local fox news which spilled the proverbial beans before I could watch my dvr..

P.S.: Bucky stunk.

Actually.. if you go to brianmay.com you'll see that he (and queen) are a lil peeved about the show and the misrepresentation... Brian actually explains the surrounding info about the "Ace" thing...

Typical Americanized Melo-draaaaama...

Quite amusing really...

My wife had American Idol on Tuesday night while I was on the computer in another room waiting for House to come on.

I heard "Innuendo" (one of my favorite all-time tunes), and my ears immediately pricked up. I thought whoever was singing it did a decent job. Certainly not up to Freddie's standards, but decent.

Which one sang "Innuendo"?

Thanks,
Joel
