Rules!

So I was having a discussion in the music store with the two fellows who run it, and they suggested I pick up a "Hello Kitty strat" for my Daughter and/or a Squier 51 for myself.

I said, "oh no, I can't do that."
They asked "Why?"
"Well, those break at least 2 rules"

"Rules?"

And that's when it all went downhill. Apperently nobody else has these rules in their head, and when i first spoke them, i thought from the looks and stifled giggles i was getting maybe I shouldn't either...

"well, first, there's the nO STRAT RULE! NO strats in my house! And then there's the no humbucker in the bridge rule, excepting Telecaster deluxes and those fancy new jaguars."

Now everytime i pick up a guitar ir mentiuon a product I'm intersted in, they ask

"Are you sure that doesn't break any rules?" :D

I think those are some fine rules, you can't help it if they don't know the rules, don't let their lack of knowledge bother you, just know you have seen the light and pity them for not having their awakening yet :)

Good rules if they work for you. Your daughter may want to start a letter campaign for a Hello Kitty Telecaster. As for me, one of these will do...

that hello kitty guitar is just begging for someone to redo the eyes a bit meaner, maybe add a fang or 2, and get rid of the 'o'

Hell Kitty
