Happy Valentine's Day!
February 14, 1946 (60 years ago today), the ENIAC (Electrical Numerical Integrator And Calculator) was unveiled. It used 18,000 vacuum tubes. Here's a 1989 interview with ENIAC co-inventor J. Presper Eckert. |

Neat article, yegbert! The history of computers is just fascinating -- it might well have been the "Machine That Changed the World" program that steered me into Computer Science! :)
