Cranes *****Now With Added Turkey!****

One of these guys walked up to my truck this morning at the McDonald's drive through and pecked at a blemish in my window tint.

I went back and tried to find them 8 hours later and found these two.

I really hope this couple are different birds, cause the pair this morning had a baby with them about a foot tall and it wasn't around later.

I really need to get me one of those $2000 lenses!

Very cool, how tall are these? AND aren't your windows tinted on the inside?

I'm 6' 5" and I swear we had one hanging around my college campus that could walk up and look me in the eye.

He was a really big one though, they normally go about 4.5 to 5' with the females being smaller.

Windows ARE tinted on the inside.

After a solid four days of rain last hurricane season, the humidity got to my windows and caused them to bubble in a few places.

I guess one of the bubbles looked like a bug to him!

I was at my buddies house in Tampa last weekend.

Here's what he has walking around his yard.

I think there are 3 of them.

That's all they do is walk around looking cool!

Those are Sandhill Cranes, usually between 2.5' and 4' tall.

When you look cool, that's what you do.

Actually animals are larger the further north they live- take deer for instance.
Pretty sandhill. I love their flight songs, but their call in the fields are like a nuclear alarm
!

I love all their sounds, down there in Florida.

I miss them, more than anything else in that State. Except maybe the Whooping Cranes at Woodruff in Volusia County.
