The McCartney one isn't bad, but for the most part I hate just about every "non-traditional" Christmas song except "Feliz Navidad" which is a tremendous song that by now is practically a standard.
Most of the newer, non-traditional ones sound like whoever wrote the song is just trying too hard for the big money grab. |

Take five - Dave Brubeck.
For some reason this song reminds me of winter/xmas.

Cool! They had Xmas way back then! (And it makes me even more surprised that the Pogues song was so slow to pup up.)

Sonny Boy's Christmas Blues, Back Door Santa, Santa Claus Wants Some Lovin, the Otis Redding version of Merry Christmas Baby, The Little Drummer Boy by Bing Crosby & David Bowie
Fairytale of New York and, of course, this year's nuttiest entry -- can't get this one out of my head: |
