A gig memory popped into my head!

Hi all!!
Something I remembered last night just before falling asleep:
Some years ago I was in a regularly gigging band. This is a story of what happened one day we had a gig.
First, our lead guitarist was a bit erratic as a human being. Sometimes nobody could reach him for days, not his gf or parents or anybody.. You know the type. BUT he could play! Man he could play. So we just kind of tolerated his strangeness.
Anway, we had a gig, thankfully in our hometown, and lead guitarist is out of reach. Hoping he will show up we start loading our equipment in a car. Eventually he shows up, but has pawned his guitar the day before.. Since we have about five hours until the gig starts we "borrow" an archtop jazzbox from an other band playing in a same rehearsal space. Nothing to be proud of, I admit, but the option was to cancel the gig.
On the way to the gig the car breaks down. Gladly we can reach a friend via mobile phone to come and drive us the rest of the way in his car.
So we get to the gig. I have a new Fender amp, bought two weeks ago (can you guess what is coming?) and when we start the sopundcheck the amp is dead. I emediately phone the guitar store that sold it to me. The shop closes in five minutes but the seller understands my situation and promises to drop a similar amp to the venue on his way home. This he dids in 25 minutes.
After that we get a very short soundcheck.
The people start arriving. We sneak backstage to drink a few beers and relax for a bit. You can guess the state our nerves are in.
Anyway, the gig goes really well and no further aggravations happen until it is time to get paid.
The owner of the place refuses to pay us any money. As we had a deal to get a percentage of the tickets we naturally find this a bit unfair. So the lead guitarist reacts in his own way: He strips nude faster than you can say "Telecaster" and starts running around the still half-packed bar shouting something about how we werw rippwd off. As he is nude he gets some attention too...
Finally the man pays us our money, the lead guitarist gets his clothes on and we start loading our equipment in the car. All exept the amp which broke down. It is not there! Somebody has taken my amp!
I feel heartbroken and disillusioned. Anyway we get the equipment back to the practise place and I go home.
The next morning I wake up when the phone rings. It is the guitar shop guy. He phones me to tell me he has taken the broken amp and fixed it. So could I return the borrowed amp and get my own back. This I do the same day. And the repair is free of charge, because of the warranty.
So, a happy ending...

Sometimes I miss the old days...
