Awesome! Professional market for legal services out here in the Philly Burbs is crap. I suspect it's the same there. You must have something that makes you stand out.

Just remember, no job is worth your honor and dignity. If anyone tries to touch your naughty bits, let us know and we will take care of those bad men.

Its where someone (usually a student) works at a company for usually no or little pay, although some companies pay quite nicely. It's all about gaining experience in your field of choice. If you're lucky, the company will hire you when you finish your degree as a full time employee.

Don't let them take you for a ride MBM - I don't know what it's like there but a lot of firms here tend to bring in interns / clerks and underpay the hell out of them for years for work that they should have junior counsel doing.

Good for you.

Get the experience; there have been times I would say, demand your rights, but right now there's so many law grads or those well along with no genuine experience.

Oh, and try to learn not just the "legal" bits but how these guys run a professional office.

That was my big mistake; hanging out with idealistic guys who did not learn well how to run a law office and not overpay for this and that, or not have a good enough bookkeeper, etc. Being too deep preparing for a trial and the lights get cut off; that kind of stuff.
