How does one shorten a link.

Is this too wide? Apparently I'm annoying the moderator here. Can someone enlighten me on how to shorten a URL in a post? This link I'm trying to post is just an example of what I've been having problems shortening.

You have to do some manual editing.

I have to put this in this box so that it will not be acted upon by the TDP software:

To shorten the link you put in inside a URL link and then give it a new description.

Here's how to do your link:

PS. Nobody is upset about your links. Any unbroken type that is wider than 85 characters can mess up the way the page is displayed. Its the fact that the type has so many characters without any spaces. You can't add any spaces because the link wouldn't work then. If everyone knew how to shorten a link it would simply make things a bit better. But its no biggy really.
