I've heard 2 cuts on the local radio and both are
very good. "Just Say You Love Me" is a real hoot and the music is cool. The lyrics crack me up! Though about getting the CD so might do it.

Got the CD and saw him recently.
I'm a big Rodney Crowell fan and I really have enjoyed the new CD. It rocks harder than some of his earlier stuff, and is very topical with some incisive and clever lyrics. If he's playing in your area and still has Will Kimbrough on lead guitar see him...you're in for a great showe. I've heard that in his recent shows he throws in a cover or two..when I saw him he did Ticket to Ride.
I said this in an earlier post and will say it again, I think Rodney is one of the best contemporary songwriters around, a terrific singer and is quite underrated, despite his popularity with the the musical cognoscenti. (How's that for a nickel word?) He's been on a roll since The Houston Kid and Fate's Right Hand and now the Outsider. |
