Bonfire Night/Guy Fawkes Day
You brits are maniacs! :D
All over London, there were bonfires and fireworks going for hours and hours to celebrate Guy Fawkes Day. (For you non-anglophiles, that's the celebration for the capture of Guy Fawkes, who attempted, unsuccessfully, to blow up the houses of Parliament 400 years ago yesterday.) I couldn't believe the non-stop booming and banging sounds all over the neighborhood and the city, it was like we were under siege. You should be congratulated on not setting your city on fire. Is it always that crazy on Bonfire Night or was it because of the 400th anniversary? I put a few pictures up in my blog in the link below my signature. |

Ha ha
It's been the same every year, year in year out. What I find hilarious is the fact that Tony Blair was filmed with fireworks a couple of years ago celebrating with some local kids....celebrating the fact that someone tried to blow up the government. Yep, Old Guy had the right idea.
