I'll Come! Oh, but I'm in Virginia.

I was in Helsinki four years ago.....beautiful city. Even met and chatted with a guitarist on a ferry (unfortunatetly he was playing at a wedding and couldn't invite me to a gig).

Also, my company sent two people over from Finland for training who were really cool folks. So I have an open invitation to go back to Finland (but I think I'll go in the summer next time).

Well, if you are someday coming to Helsinki, be sure to let me know.

Freewheeler, JNE and me have met a couple of times, usually when Campilongo has been around. When it comes to guitars, Freewheeler is a real player, JNE is a rean tinker (You seen his 70s tele site online?), and I am real st***er. So what I mean to say is I'd love to meet up, but my playing isn't up to anything. But I'll gladly take some free lessons, dear old viking! :D

Well, I am really an amateur myself. Although I love to play and learn my skills are nothing very special. So maybe we could both use some lessons??? And anyway, good peaple are not necessarily all good players.
But a beer in good company is always a good start, eh?

Ja itse asiassa voisikin kehittää tätä ideaa eteenpäin ihan henkilökohtaisilla viesteillä niin pääsis puhumaan suomea...

I might be up for a meet, even though I haven't really posted all that much and am pretty much a rookie with the guitar as well. But good company who appreciate good guitars is always welcome.

Voidaan palata asiaan myös privaviesteillä, tai jatkaa täällä suomeksi.

Hey that's a good idea!

How about coming to see me play with my older band The Don'ts this saturday 5.11. at Kilo VPK house, Espoo. We start at 21.00. There are 4 other bands after us so we've got plenty of time to chat Telecasters after the show.

I'll play my Broadcaster clone and my Francis Rossi Replica...

sauna!!!

Gotta get in a sauna soon, I am getting withdrawals, Eric.

And all the other guys, I think we should maybe continue with personal messages. Just so we dont start turning this into a finnish-speaking forum. (Really, I do not wish to offend anyone with a language they cannot understand).
On the other hand, nobody HAS to read this. So Maybe we could continue here too.
Freewheeler, too bad I am busy this weekend, I would have loved to see your gig.

I still feel bad that I had to back out of getting together with Freewheeler last year when I was in Helsinki. We had exchanged PMs to try to meet but because of scheduling changes and illness (I was "guiding" my mother and sister to meet our relatives in Pohjanmaa) I couldn't work it out on the last few days we were there.

Pyydän anteeksi Sami, olisi hauska tutustua.

Erkki, meidan täytyy matkustaa Suomeen tulevaisuussa. :)

Uskomatonta! (unbelievable)

All these great TDPRI Finns have been here for many years and only a couple of us have met... It really must be the Finnish nature of modesty and favour for solitude, dunno. Uncle Jarmo: I'm shure we'll meet here in Helsinki soon along with the-most-finn-of-the-finns-and-my-long-time-pal Mr. Eric Karonen.
In the meantime puhutaan vaan suomea, jos se teiltä kaikilta sujuu!!! Ei kai Paul-setä hermostu jos ei ymmärrä... Huomenna Telecaster soi hienosti Espoossa. Ainakin luulisin :-)

A good gig.

The comeback gig of The Don'ts was good. We haven't played a gig in 11 years so it was a bit more exciting than usually... I love that VOX AC30 cc2x amp of mine!

Here's a link to a video clip:

I too missed the gig on Saturday, but I did have a Saturday sauna twice (once in the morning, once in the evening), so I guess I'm OK. :D :P
