Buddha Statue Number Mystery

I have a small Buddha statue given me by my wife and kids. It was made in Thailand. Across the front of the statue's base appears this number:

15687904228

The number is part of the statue - it's engraved into the base. It is not a product number or inspection sticker, or anything like that. It was clearly meant to be seen, as it's large, clear and on the front, right below the Buddha.

I've tried searching for this number on Google but get only Thai-language websites. when I translate them to English they seem to be sites having to do with phone numbers, where the above number appears in a list of hundreds of other numbers. In other words, these websites have nothing to do with the above number in particular.

I'm guessing the number has something to do with the Buddha, probably with Thai Buddhist traditions in particular. But I'm coming up with nothing.

So of course, I've turned to the font of all knowledge - the TDPRI community.

Anyone know anything?

The Buddhists are so far beyond us, with our own answer of "42".

I dialed that number. The Buddha is not in, but I left a message.

Numbers are very critical, I read. So the base or plinth having that, could be a
meaningful date , or something completely different..

Perhaps the seven weeks period...I am sure someone here will know..

Nice statue.

I'm guessing it isn't part of a limited edition of 16 billion.

I'm always happy to factor large numbers. I'm disappointed it wasn't prime -- the next prime is 15687904241.

Dissapoint you I don't want, but it may be the phone number of the producer of the statue - or it may not be. The statue is very nice indeed.

And today's winning lottery numbers brought to you by Buddha, inspiring people for 2400 years. He'll leave the light on for you.

A search of images of thai buddha statues failed to show anymore with prominent numbers displayed ..... this would tend to reduce the likelihood of the pan-Buddho-numerology being key to this mystery.

However, during my endless and pointless search, I did enter a trance like state and seem to have found a sense inner peace.

Ah, then your search has not been in vain.

I'm guessing it's a phone number for a Thai business of some denomination. Or maybe someone just really wanted to make sure the thing got returned to its owner if it was ever lost?

Do you think if I called this number, I could order Thai take-out?
