Puppies Vs My Mustang......
I have a 2007 mustang that I cherish. Wash and wax all the time. It is a real head turner. So here is my rant.
My wife is an animal lover. Which is totally fine. I am not. But I don't have a problem with her wanting animals. We currently have a dog and 2 cats. A friend of our family runs a no kill animal rescue. So they need people to foster animals. My wife has been fostering 2 mutt pups for the last 2 weeks. When we are gone during the day she leaves the garage door open so they can run in and out. Last weekend I changed an outdoor light. If you have ever done this you know that most lights have a mounting bracket. Some are just a single bar and some are a cirlce looking thing. Our old one had the circle. So after changing them I put all the trash and parts in a sack and put it up against the wall in my garage. Yesterday I came home from work and pulled into the garage. Later in the evening I had to run to town. I started hearing a thumping sound. I get out and my right front passenger side tire has something in it. IT WAS THE CIRCLE MOUNTING BRACKET FROM THE LIGHT!!. Not only do I have to now go get the tire plugged but the bracket scraped off the paint all around the wheel well!! The puppies had drug the bag out into the garage floor and I didn't see it. So needless to say I was fuming last night and the puppies found new foster homes. I know that it is my own fault for leaving the bag on the floor. But man was I mad!! So I am off to the tire shop today and luckily my wife's Dad and Uncle own the largest body shop in the area and will sand and repaint my damaged fender for free. Still sucks though!! I just got over the FLU last week and I think I am getting it again. This has not been one of my best weeks!!! Thanks for listening!! |

Oh get over yourself!! They're just dogs, they don't have the capacity to do stuff like that on purpose. You even said it yourself - you left that stuff out and your wife left the door open.
So ummm... Your fault? Your wife's fault? If you really don't like it don't have animals in the house.

My dog has eaten a couple of thousand bucks worth of furniture/electronics in his 5 years on this earth. I got angry. Got over it. Still love him though.

That's part of the deal if you have pets.
I was sad when one of my cats knocked over my 1965 Gibson EB0 bass, breaking the headstock off it. Believe it or not, I didn't get mad at the cat - he didn't do it on purpose. It taught me a valuable (and expensive) lesson about putting things away properly if I care about them. The broken bass sat in its case for about 2 years before I could even look at it again but I finally bit the bullet and took it to a guitar tech who fixed it up so you can't even see where it was broken. It's still my favourite bass to record with. |

i disagree with this as well proper supervision and training there's no reason a dog should be destroying your this. i have shared my home with dogs continuously for 16 years and have not had anything destroyed as a matter of fact still same furniture and carpeting

Thank your wife for caring and going the extra step. We should not have abused or abandon kids or animals in the world. Unfortunately we have both.
I understand about the car as well. It certainly would have ruined my day. Lesson learned is to take extra steps. I write this with our new Cocker Spaniel puppy sitting next to me. All but the section of our house that is tiled is baracaded with orange construction fencing until we get her potty trained. |

When you have puppies around you have to puppy proof everything, kinda like when you have a toddler around .....right !
It's not a good idea to let puppies have the run of things unsupervised, put them in a kennel while you are gone.
