It's my birthday!!
It's my birthday today and I'm heading in to a guitar shop in Honolulu for my first lesson with my new '52 RI!!!! WOOOOHHHOOOO!!!! Then right over to the North Shore for some surfing, lunch and a few beers.
All bittersweet though, I've been away from my wife and little girl for 17 months now with only a few breaks in work to stop by and spend some time with them. Actually, more bitter than sweet but Hawaii makes it a little easier. Off to my lesson!!! |

Happy Birthday...as a landlocked farmboy I grew up looking forward to the day I could actualy go see "Pipeline" in person that I'd seen in all the movies. When I finally got the chance I couldn't believe anybody living through a big wave dumping you out on that reef.

Working on getting my wife and daughter out for a week or so at the end of April, my wife is an accountant and tax time is obviously her busiest time of year. |
