Just getting ready for my monthly pilgrimage to the above , free entry Live music all day and lots of beer only twenty mins on the train from ours so dont need to worry about driving into the city

That brings back fond memories!

I grew up in Liverpool - left there when I was 22 and I still get back there a few times a year. I visited the Cavern many times during my teens.

great day have a bit of a hangover today there was a 60s band on and yes they did the beatles Then along mathew street, few clubs offering free shots to get you in the door Heres a tip let the guy that shows you in bring you your shots , Then when he goes back out on the prowl go over to the bar and say that a guy outside told you if you came in here you would get free shots and BINGO works every time ! Dont even remember getting the train back

The Cavern is about a 15 min drive from me.
haven't been there for a few years, but I've seen Michael Angelo Batio there and also met / seen Peter Green with the Splinter Group.
I've Had some great nights in there.
