SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Authorities in California say the voice actor who portrayed Charlie Brown in many "Peanuts" shows was arrested on charges that include stalking.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokeswoman Angelica De Cima said Peter Robbins was arrested Sunday at the San Ysidro Port of Entry. She told U-T San Diego that a background check yielded a warrant against Robbins from the San Diego County sheriff's department.

A sheriff's spokeswoman said she did not have details about the warrant.

The 56-year-old is set to be arraigned Wednesday on counts of making a threat to cause death or great bodily injury and stalking. His manager has declined to comment.

Robbins was the voice of Charlie Brown for TV specials, "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown."

At least he wasn't stalking Lucy, that would be weird.

The original Linus, Christoper Shea, died in 2010. He looked like a homeless dude in this photo with Robbins (left).

after 43 years apart we finally reunited at a tom petty concert in june he was the best part of the charlie brown specials his sincere voice was an inspiration I should know I was hoping to see him in august for a river trip but never heard from him good grief i will miss him you did know the meaning of christmas peter robbins, voice of charlie brown

Perhaps the "homeless" crack is a little unfair. Here Shea is with his family looking more like your average TDPRI member.

His brother was Eric Shea, a child actor you might recognize from films such as "Yours, Mine and Ours," "The Poseidon Adventure" and "Smile."

yeah...i find the that after the christmas and halloween specials peanuts are unwatchable...they shouldve cast women as the boys voices like the simpsons...that way you would have a long lasting series with the same voices
