My playing has been reviewed.

This may not be a big deal to a lot of the esteemed company that hangs out here, but it sure means a lot to me.

After a break of far to many years of playing Guitar in public, I was asked to play as part of a band for a local Amature Dramatic Company. We got together a band of 7 players - Lead Guitar (me), Bass, Drums, Piano, Trumpet, Alto Sax & Tenor Sax. The shows were well received by the public with full houses (circa 200 people) over the four nights. The following is an extract from a review that has appeared in our local paper:

Not content with having tackled the Schools Edition of Les Mis last year, this enterprising company decided to stage the East Anglian Premiere performance of Summer Holiday and a great job they made of it. My first surprise was the quality of music. In the early numbers and overture I was convinced that the Company had opted for tape backing following superb solos from the lead guitarist and trumpet player, but they were both part of a strong back-up team under the baton of Peter Kirby. With this sort of backing, the show and particularly the musical numbers were tackled in style.

I don't know the person who wrote this review, but a like them a lot!

Congrats! It's nice to be appreciated ain't it?

I've been reviewed by my wife. She either closes the door to the basement where I am playing or leaves the house......I wonder what she means by those actions??

I know she's out spreading the word!!

I get reviewed by my cat, who usually licks her own butt then looks at me and leaves.

My dog reviews me. He howls whenever I play with distortion!

But back to the topic that's really cool Togman! It must feel great to hve something like that in writing! 8)
