I love Christmas. Do you have any kids ? That can be key. Catching a lot of crap ? Try not liking The Beatles - that's catching a lot of crap...

hate may be a bit strong for me....could do without it though. fun to buy stuff for my brother in law`s kids but frankly I don`t need any more gifts I...er...don`t need. they put their decorations up in early october in this city, really...just to remind people not to forget to spend. when I went home in september I asked my sister not to send us a box of gifts this year so she sent two...guess I wasn`t precise enough. different in Japan, we do all get together and eat...we`ll take my wife`s family out for lunch this year but gifts? nah, got pretty much what I need and if I want something else, I`d rather buy it myself and be certain I`m going to use it.
happy holidays eh.

I am totally a christmas don't wanna be....hate all the commercialism , the gotta get you something and we do the exchange trip....my family is disconnected and not relevant to my wife and I's lives....yet we are obligated to participate in the farce of giving on day 25 month of 12....
I lost my younger brother a month ago...I didn't know how much I loved him till he was gone ...I think about him every day... I'm going to this years get together with a fresh perspective and I'm going to try very hard to spread some love and tell the people I thought I didn't want to be around how much they mean to me .... we only get to ride this roller coaster once folks, sit at the front for a while and smile... |

I don't hate it, but I don't feel it. As a kid, I saw the stress the adults went thru. There was no magic. My wife loves the holiday, and does make it special for the kids.

Can't stand it! It's more the time of year I don't like, especially the long nights. I wouldn't mind if I could just be on my own and play my guitar, but having to participate in these festivities - that drag on for weeks - annoys me intensely. Can't wait for January!

Only the music...never been a fan of Christmas songs. Well, maybe "Run, Run, Rudolph" or "Baby, Be Home By Christmas"...stuff like that. The Johnny Mann Singers you can keep.
The rest is all good...the tree, watching "It's A Wonderful Life" again, Mrs Dman's bourbon pound cake. And looking at her on Christmas morning and thinking, despite the years, a few grey hairs and a couple of extra pounds (must be the cake!), she's the best doggone Christmas present I could ever get. |

Finish a home improvement project...that's what I do. She LOVES when I finally get something completed. (Despite the fact that I've flattened my thumb with a 22 oz. framing hammer!)

Having converted to Hinduism ( brought up really strictly Catholic) I find it a bit ludicrous that most of our country celebrate Christmas, but don't even attend Church. We always host upwards of 20 family members on the day, some of which, I wouldn't even talk to, and don't for most of the year. For the sake of peace I tolerate them. At least I try to practise my faith on a daily basis, and we all fail, daily. How about equal rights for other religions? Holidays for Hindu, Muslim and Jewish faiths??? Can't see that happening soon.JMHO

I love Christmas. Lots of great memories. My kids are still young, too, so we get pumped around my house! We usually go back to the States to be with my family at Christmas, but can't afford it this year. I'll be working hard to keep the holiday spirits up over the next couple weeks.

I LOVE Christmas. OK, not the commercial bullcr*p, but you can stay away from that if you want to. In my family it really is a celebration of love, when we get to spend time together. It’s not about presents. I don’t have kids yet, but I’m really looking forward to decorate the tree with my girlfriend then have some wine and watch a nice Christmas movie, or to seeing all my cousins.
