20 inches must be something like a 3/4 scale example of the movie lamp, wasn't it quite a bit larger than that?

I haven't seen the movie for along time, I could be wrong.

As a side note, I just read somewhere that the kid (now, 'man') who starred in the film still has the prop BB gun and bunny suit from the movie.

Yes, the one I have is a table lamp like the one in the original post. They do make a full sized one, though, there is one that goes up every year at Christmas time in River Forest (a nearby community).

Peter Billingsley. He's a producer (and director -- "Couples Retreat") who works on a lot of Jon Favreau projects, incluning the "Iron Man" films.

I bought one of those at CVS last year....great conversational piece at the office lol. This year I added some figurines doing a Christmas play!
