I just got an invite to a World End Party at a local bar.....I asked doesn't this mean I can drink on credit all night because the worlds gonna end and it won't matter the next day? They said "NO".....some "world end" party huh?

I could never figure out why people predict the world is going to end on a certain date.
If they are right, no one will know, but if they are wrong everyone will know.

My bills are all paid until the end of the month and the Christmas shopping is done. Think the Mayans would agree to move that date back to the 31st. I hate wasting $$$.

Actually, it is nothing more than the worlds very first troll post. The Mayans didn't disappear, they've just been lurking for the past 1,000 years and watching the flamefests that they created.

I don't believe it and the Mayan thing has been explained and disproven numerous times. However, I have scheduled my christmas shopping for the 22nd just to be safe.

This allayed all my fears: U.S. government assures world will not end in 2012

.......I am just praying that Master Kirn might be finished with my much anticipated work of art he is lovingly constructing before then........but my damn luck would be to strap it on the 21st and before I can hit that first sweet orgasmic chord *BAM*, it's lights out and I never even got to hear it.......the rest of the world doesn't matter anymore, I just have to play that thing before the big event happens. You can tell I finally have my "priorities" straight. ;)

I predict that we'll see a baby boom next August that will make the postwar years look stagnant by comparison.

galactic alignment

black hole at galactic center

Sagittarius A* ( standard abbreviation Sgr A*) is a bright and very compact astronomical radio source at the center of the Milky Way Galaxy, near the border of the constellations Sagittarius and Scorpius. It is part of a larger astronomical feature known as Sagittarius A. Sagittarius A* is believed to be the location of a supermassive black hole

So we joke, but I've a son who believes this strongly. I told him believe what he wants, but don't be stupid. Don't put on matching Nikes, don't drink any Kool-Aid, and don't hole up anywhere with a guy with a bull-horn. But here's what bugs me about the tripe being spouted ...

See, they're not saying the world will end. They're saying there is going to be a 'reset' and that this will be the arrival of some new illuminati-driven dimension. I realize I'm not making sense ... I'll get my David Byrne Big Suit out because it stopped making sense to me long ago. Although if you watch the Matrix movies and toss in a little Star Wars lore (Jedi skills and Force [light and dark]), it starts to have a familiar ring. When I point this out I'm told those movies were 'messages.'

Except this: By not claiming that 12/21/12 is an apocalyptic ending, but the start of some new 'age' that will include many apocalyptic events over time, these people can just continue to sit back and say "See ... look! There's another one! It's HAPPENING!!!" No need to look foolish because the "big event" didn't happen -- because it's not a big event. It's an unseen event leading to other events TBD.

You know ... what was it Biden said .... oh yeah: malarkey.

He's my son and I love him, but I just want to smack him. I can't of course, because he's 23, 6'5" and 230lbs.

The world has been ending for one reason or another every year for at least the last 60 years.

I like to make life-decisions based on thousands of years old ideals.

This is why I'm currently climbing a volcano carrying a semi-concious virgin.

I'll have it all sorted in a jiffy.
