Teen Girl Makes YouTube Video after Robbing Bank

A brazen Nebraska bank robbery ended with the arrest of a teenage girl who boasted on YouTube about carrying out the crime.

Hannah Sabata, 19, faces theft and robbery charges in connection with the Nov. 28 holdup at a Cornerstone Bank in Waco, Neb. Sabata was also allegedly driving a stolen car, what she described as a “shiny” Pontiac Grand Am.

The teen doesn’t speak during the eight minute video, but instead holds up handwritten signs about her alleged crimes and then fans out a stack of cash.

The title of the video is “Chick bank robber,” and the description says “I just stole a car and robbed a bank. Now I'm rich, I can pay off my college financial aid and tomorrow I’m going for a shopping spree.”

Seriously, I like to think that at age 19, there's still time for her to turn her life around, but she's going to need help. I don't believe that locking her up is going to do any good... But that's about the only help society has to offer her at this point.

I'm not sure if you're serious or joking.

I don't blame society, but her parents certainly deserve a share of the blame. I guess society had a role too, but at 19, she's legally responsible for herself, come what may...

Too bad that since she's 19, her parents can wash their hands of her. Probably already did, which is why she thought it would be cool to rob a bank, buy drugs, and then brag about it on Youtube...

Like I said, I think she's probably retarded. If she scores over 80 on a standard IQ test, I'd be surprised.

My take is that this whole thing is a cry for help. Robbing a bank is probably slightly smarter than suicide, so I'll give her credit there, but I'm still not convinced she's not retarded...

I don't believe locking her in a Federal prison for 5 to 10 years is the right thing to do. Hopefully she'll get a judge who's not mentally defective too.

Yeah, I caught that too, and immediately felt really sad for her. No telling what that's all about or what the truth of it is. It doesn't seem that what she was saying would gel with the neglect thing as she said that the government took her baby before "she could even get it home". That's hard to understand unless it had something to do with bad drug abuse and related felonies during pregnancy and no responsible relations to care for it or some such thing.

If all criminals were that "smart", we could cut the police force in half. Just hire a couple of people to watch youtube videos then go make the arrest.
