So, we're at the Museum of Natural History...

And came across an interesting exhibit. Oddly enough, it resembled modern man.

The title of the display, oddly enough, was Mark Maximus from the Trihugemum Period. My wife mentioned how the creature looked a little bit like me...

Those last few photos aren't too scary, but that first one - hard to believe that modern humans evolved from something like that...

Great shots! We were there with the kids 2 years ago but missed the fossilized flying banana exhibit.

The after vacation family vote was unanimous to return in the next few years. DC is quite a place to visit.
