How Many People Here use Twitter Daily?

Today someone asked me, "Are you following me"?

I said, "I wasn't even driving today."

They replied, No on Twitter...

Every time I see a photo of a Celeb these days they are
clutching their cell phones.

Am I Normal or Nutz for not using it?

I don't use twitter much at all. I think people use it way too much. I signed up for advertising purposes when my band was making a name for itself in my city. Now I use it to contact low-level celebrities from time to time like Kevin Smith, Ralph Garman and Adam Savage.

I certainly don't follow my friends or many others for that matter, or ever care to.

Like I said, I've used it a few times to reach out to people I don't usually get the chance to see and that's about it

I have smartphone but don't care to tweet and I dont do facebook or any social media. Cell phones have become socially acceptable security blankets that insecure people cling to. I always see people talking on their phones when walking. I truly believe 'most' people aren't talking to anyone. their just holding the phone to their ear so others won't think they're just a schmuck walking down the street or waiting for the bus. Just a theory.

'Low-level celebrities' I like that, although I'm glad I'm not one- great name for a band though.

I am on Twitter and use it often. News breaks on Twitter first, especially sports news. Breaking news on tv will be old news if u have a Twitter account. I don't tweet often, but I check my feed all the time.

I don't use Twitter although I do have an account. I also have a Facebook account. I have a Myspace one as well but like Twitter, I don't use it.

I mostly have the accounts for the folks who like to be "Holier than Thou" and look down the nose at such folks. There's always at least one. Same with the 'I don't have a TV' crowd and the 'Apple is a walled garden' tech crowd.

Although the Facebook one has been helpful in keeping connected with family; from California and Oregon to Oklahoma and Colorado and out in Florida, Virginia and New York.

I have a twitter account, but haven't posted any tweets in over a year and haven't logged in to my account in months. Somewhat useless app, IMO.

yep. I use it to keep me informed about stuff I actually dig instead of reading the newspaper.

(I'm not there to post stuff. I suscribe to about 30 people who says things I like to learn about : cycling, politics, philosophy, etc.)

Daily? No. I will jump on if there is an event of interest going on and people (VIPs and/or general population) are actively tweeting...eg. weather event, sporting event, etc.

So how, exactly, do you use it? I follow a few interesting people/things but it's generally the same info I can get from other places.


Thought I'd try to get back on topic since most of the responses here are of the "I'm only social on TDPRI" sort.
