The 1st series of Jaguar E-Types jump to my mind first. Not really the later ones, but the ones with the tube bumpers, LONG hood, and oval grill. and I remember seeing one in the mid 60's as a kid and just thinking that it was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen.

That's a truly beautiful car!
The only problem I'd have with one is the 7 months of Winter in which I wouldn't get to drive it. Having vehicle like that is all about location, sadly.

I was thinking about my post above and seeing the E-Type at the time.
My uncle lived across the street from us and was "Mr Playboy". Good looking, never married, great job ($), total motorhead... He drove a new 65 TVR Griffith 200 at the time and would drive my brother and I to our little league games and anyplace we wanted to go in it. I remember being 7yo and telling him I'd seen a Jaguar and I just went on and on about it. A week or so later I going someplace with him on the highway and he said, "Hey remember talking about that Jaguar you saw? Can it do this??" And he nailed that thing. I have NO idea how fast we were going, but it was SICK fast. Like, just peg you in the seat fast. I didn't mention the Jaguar to him again, but I still thought they looked so sweet...

This is just like asking which is the most beautiful guitar in the world.
For me, though, the ISO looks droopy at both ends. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I love many cars that I think are truly beautiful, and the E-Type Jaguar is right up there, but even more I loved the D-Type. Both the racing model and the street model were excellent.
