Brilliant - saw the trailer for this some time ago but thought I'd have to miss out as it was only on Sky. Glad to see someone has posted it on YouTube for us all.

Thanks for sharing!

I watched that on Sky Atlantic last week,it's a topic most of us can identify with. Knopfler is a very humble man.

Excellent viewing! And interesting stories behind every instrument. Is this a series of programmes? I'm sure it would be just as interesting to see more artists talking about their favourite instruments.

Made me think about my own instruments and the sentiments behind several of them. Guess even ordinary folk like myself can have a life in music - just not in the spotlightor with such success.

Thanks for posting this.

Thank you stephent2 I don't know why Chet didn't include him as a Guitar Master- especially as they played together on an album of Fingerpickers Ruling The World. Played Teles all my life till I heard Knofpler (1978), since then have always had a Strat in my collection. He is also a left handr playing guitar right handed-WOW!! He does it better than most of all of us. A friend of mine loves MK and his mother was a Certified Maestro-( now deceased) tested back in about 1920 on violin. Her comments on him were "That man knows his insrument".High praise to him.
